I have six pieces of work in Church Stretton Arts Festival, Tuesday 1 August to Saturday 12 August 10.30-5 at St Lawrence Primary School.
My work ranges from a traditional shopping basket to the very contemporary “Broken Vessel, Borders”, as seen in the photograph.
This is a sculptural piece formed on a piece of Spanish Bone Oak. Bone Oak is wood that has died on the tree but remained attached until all the sapwood and some of the less durable hardwood has rotted away. This leaves the amazing fibrous features of the growth behind.
All proceeds from this work will be donated to Shropshire Supports Refugees.
