Basketry workshop: Willow Shopper

Cost £140 including materials.

Come and make a beautiful and very useful round willow shopping basket.

In this workshop you will learn the skills to make a traditional English basketry base, learn at least two weaves, the border and an over handle.

There will be a choice of willow colours and design variations so that each basket is unique. The willow is locally and sustainably sourced.

No experience is necessary, as we will be working in a very small group of no more than four people. In the tranquil setting of Comer Woods, you will benefit from individual support and guidance to create a beautiful bespoke basket.

This is a great opportunity for a beginner to be creative with this amazing material, but it will also support those who have previously had a go at weaving and would like to progress their skills.
